Audition for A Fox on the Fairway by Ken Ludwig, directed by Dave Earl. (performance dates: 20 to 23 May and 27 to 30 May 2026).
Love, life, and some people’s eternal infatuation with… golf: Filled with over-the-top antics and romantic shenanigans, this madcap comedy pays homage to classic English farces as well as the Marx Brothers’ movies. Every year the Quail Valley Country Club takes on their rival, Crouching Squirrel, in a tournament – but this year, there is more at stake than just the trophy. Henry Bingham bets his life savings and his wife’s antique shop against his rival Dickie.
Luckily, he can rely on his new assistant Justin, a golf prodigy, to win the day. But when Justin finds out his fiancée Louise has accidentally flushed his grandmother’s wedding ring down the toilet, his game falls apart.
Will the frantic attempts to keep him focused save the day? Will Dickie keep the trophy? Or does Quail Valley have a secret weapon to outfox him?
American playwright Ken Ludwig is one of the most prolific stage authors of our time and has won several awards, among them the Tony and the Olivier.
The audition will be held at Theater an der Marschnerstraße, Marschnerstraße 46, 22081 Hamburg (near U-Bahn Hamburger Straße).
