Monday, 08 March 2010 Hi Hamburg Friends!Hi Hamburg Players, Remember me? The drunk one you let out by the hotel after your illegal cab ride on Sunday night? Congrats again on your Stage Managment award. It was a great festival and I am ever so grateful for you not leaving Death for dead in the middle of Brussels. I was hoping to get the email address of Harald. I think he knows a friend of a friend of mine from the theatre scene in Orlando, and I'd be curious to find out if I am right.
Mine is abigail1000@yahoo.com. Can someone forward this email on to him?
Tuesday, 02 June 2009 Dear Hamburg Players, as a teacher at the Hansagymnasium in Bergedorf currently dealing with "A Streetcar named Desire" with my 12 graders, I appreciate very much your choice of staging Tennesse Williams. I went to see your performance with 10 of my students last week, and we enjoyed the actors´ performance very much. However, I have been wondering whether it would not have been a good idea to shorten the play somewhat, in order to make it more compatible with students´ needs. I know that it is a great play by a great playwright, and you might consider it an offense to art in general and T. Williams in particular to leave out parts of the dialogue. I do think, however, that if you are so explicitly addressing schools and teachers in Hamburg, that you might want to make compromises. Sincerely yours, K. Stanik Tuesday, 19 May 2009 Reply to MaximilianThank you so much, Maximilian, for your lovely comments which we have passed to the cast and crew! It is very encouraging for us to get such positive feedback after weeks of preparations and rehearsals! We certainly look forward to counting you again as an audience member in the future... who knows, maybe we have even given you the "theatre bug" and you would like to join us as an active member, on stage or backstage?! Let us know! Mathilde PS - for your information, the actress playing Maggie the Cat is Izzy Orde Tuesday, 12 May 2009 Hi Hamburger Players Team,
I saw "Cat on a hot tin roof" with my english course yesterday. Our teacher asked us if we wanted to go and i really would have missed quite alot if i had not gone. It was awsome!!! The actors did a remarkable Job. I was totally amused and thrilled by the performance, and would totally recommend your performances to anybody who seeks brilliant acting and entertainment. the actress that played maggie ( didtn remeber her name, what a shame !) was just as pleasant to look at, as elizabeth taylor in the movie version :-)
Thank you Hamburg players with lots of appreciation, Maximilian beck
